Supply external electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Test the indicator lights for the electrical system.

Set the IND LTS switch to TEST.
(b)
Make sure that all the indicator lights for the electrical system are on.

(3) S 865-006Make sure that the L and R UTILITY switches are ON. (a) Make sure that the OFF lights are not on.
(4) S 865-008Set the BUS TIE 1, 2, 3, and 4 switches to AUTO. (a) Make sure that the ISLN lights are off.

Make sure that the GEN CONT 1, 2, 3, and 4 switches are ON.
(a)
Make sure that the OFF lights are on.

Make sure that the DRIVE lights on the DRIVE DISC 1, 2, 3, and 4 switches are ON.

Make sure that the FIELD OFF lights on the manual field reset switches, are off.
NOTE: The manual field reset switches are for the IDG generators.

The FIELD OFF lights are found on the P461 overhead maintenance panel.
(b)
If the FIELD OFF light(s) are on, push and release the field reset switch to turn the lights off.
E. Do the Operational Test

(1) Fill the IDG oil if it is necessary (AMM 12-13-07/301).
NOTE: If the IDG oil reservoir is empty, the overtemperature relief

valve on the IDG possibly opened.
