 WARNING:_______USE CARE WHEN YOU CONNECT THE DRAIN HOSE. PRESSURE IN THE IDG CAN CAUSE HOT OIL TO COME OUT OF THE COUPLING. HOT OIL CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY.
 4)  Connect the oil-drain hose to the overflow drain coupling on the IDG oil/drain panel. Allow the surplus oil to drain into the container.
 5) Remove the oil-drain hose. 6) Install the cover on the overflow drain coupling (pressure oiler).
 F.  Procedure

Remove the IDG (AMM 24-11-01/401).

 (2)  
Remove the fuel/oil cooler (AMM 79-21-01/401).

 (3)  
Remove the air/oil heat exchanger (AMM 24-11-14/401).

 WARNING: USE A REGULATOR ON THE NITROGEN BOTTLE TO FLUSH THE IDG
_______ EXTERNAL OIL COOLING CIRCUIT. AN UNREGULATED NITROGEN BOTTLE USED AS A PRESSURE SOURCE CAN CAUSE INJURIES AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (4)  Attach a nitrogen bottle to the outlet side of each IDG external cooling line segment.
 NOTE: Use the nitrogen to purge the external cooling system against
____ the direction of normal oil flow in each line segement. Begin the task with a full bottle of nitrogen.
 (a) Use 250 psig to purge each IDG cooling line segment.
 NOTE: Use equal amounts of nitrogen in each external cooling
____ segment. Use the complete bottle of nitrogen.

Install a clean fuel/oil cooler (AMM 79-21-01/401).

Install a clean air/oil heat exchanger (AMM 24-11-14/401).

Install an overhauled IDG (AMM 24-11-01/401).

Service the IDG with oil (AMM 12-22-07/301).

 (b)  
Do the engine ground test - idle power procedure to do a check for leaks (AMM 71-00-00/501).

 (c)  
Examine the IDG oil level (AMM 12-13-07/301).

 (d)  
Service the IDG (AMM 12-13-07/301).

 (8)  
Close the left thrust reverser half (AMM 78-31-00/201).
