CAUTION:_______ MAKE SURE YOU CONNECT THE CORRECT TERMINAL LEAD TO
THE CORRECT TERMINAL STUD ON THE GENERATOR. AN
INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE
CIRCUIT AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION: DO NOT INSTALL THE WASHERS BELOW THE PHASE LEADS.
_______ THIS WILL CAUSE HEAT THAT CAN BURN THE TERMINAL BLOCK.
(b) Install the phase lead (12 or 13) on the generator terminal studs with washers (19) and terminal nuts (17).
NOTE: The washer is installed between the nut and the
____ phase lead.
(c)
Tighten the terminal nuts (17) to 110-120 pound-inches.
(d)
Remove the tags from the phase leads.
(e)
Install the terminal block cover (16) on the generator (2 or 11).

Attach the electrical connectors (1, 25 or 10, 14).

Disengage the support rods for the APU access doors.

Close the APU access doors:
(a)
Do a visual check of the APU bus bars: 1) Make sure the bus bars are not damaged. 2) Make sure no metal parts touch the bus bars. 3) Make sure the bus bars do not touch each other.
(b)
Disengage the support rods for the APU access doors.
(c)
Put the support rods in the clips on the inner side of the APU access doors.
(d)
Make sure the insulation covers correctly attach to the APU compartment firewall.
(e)
Close the APU access doors.
(f)
Close the latches on the APU access doors.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a)
P180-1 Power Distribution Panel 1) 180L1 AGCU1 2) 180M1 AGCU2

Remove the DO-NOT-OPERATE tag from the APU switch.

H. Do a Test of the APU-Driven Generator

(1)
Supply electrical power from the APU (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Do a test of the generator.
(a)
Get access to the EXISTING FAULTS page for Chapter 24 (if any) on the CMCS (AMM 45-10-00/201).
(b)
Make sure the CMCS messages for the APU generator do not show.
(c)
Get access to the maintenance page for the electrical system (AMM 45-10-00/201).
(d)
Make sure the parameters for the APU-driven generator are in the usual operation range. The normal operating ranges for the APU-driven generator are 115 |5 VAC, and 400 |5 Hz.
NOTE: The voltage, frequency and differential current
____ thresholds for AGCU protection of the APU-driven generator are listed in Automatic Control Protection and Regulation (AMM 24-23-00/001).
