C. Install the Valve
S 434-011
(1) Remove the covers from the duct openings.
(a) Make sure there is no unwanted material in the ducts.

(2) Put the valve in its position in the duct.
(a)
Make sure the flow arrow points up.
(b)
Make sure the valve actuator is below the valve.

(3) Do these steps to install the forward cabin shutoff valve:
(a)
Install the couplings on each side of the valve.
(b)
Install the bonding jumper.
1) Make sure the bonding resistance between the valve and the airplane support structure is a maximum of 0.0025 ohms.

(4) Do these steps to install the aft cabin shutoff valve:
(a)
Pull the flex duct over the top side of the valve.
(b)
Install the two clamps on the top side of the valve.
(c)
Install the coupling on the bottom side of the valve.

(5) Install the electrical connector on the valve:
(a)
DV540, forward cabin shutoff valve
(b)
DV541, aft cabin shutoff valve

(6) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE identifiers and close these circuit breakers:
(a) Left Power Distribution Center, P414 1) 414A10, FWD LWR CARGO A/C VLV

D. Do the Installation Test for the Valve

(1)
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Set the GND TESTS switch on the overhead maintenance panel, P461, to the ENABLE position.

Prepare the CDU for the test:
(a)
Push the MENU key on the CDU to show the MENU.
(b)
Push the line select key (LSK) that is adjacent to <CMC to show the CMC MENU.
(c)
If <RETURN shows after you push the LSK, push the LSK that is adjacent to <RETURN until you see the CMC MENU.
(d)
Push the LSK that is adjacent to <GROUND TESTS to show the GROUND TESTS menu.
(e)
Push the NEXT PAGE key until you find <21 AIR CONDITIONING.
(f)
Push the LSK that is adjacent to <21 AIR CONDITIONING to show the GROUND TESTS menu for the air conditioning system.

(4) Check the PTC-A/ALL PACKS menu:
(a) Push the NEXT PAGE key until you find <PTC-A/ALL PACKS
NOTE: If INHIBITED shows above <PTC-A/ALL PACKS , the test

will not operate.
(b)
If INHIBITED shows above <PTC-A/ALL PACKS: 1) Push the LSK that is adjacent to the test prompt. 2) Do the steps shown on the CDU. 3) Push the LSK that is adjacent to <RETURN to show the ground
test menu again.
(c)
Push the LSK that is adjacent to <PTC-A/ALL PACKS
(d)
When the TEST PRECONDITIONS page shows, make sure each instruction on the page is completed. (Push the NEXT PAGE key to see subsequent pages.)
(e)
Push the LSK that is adjacent to START TEST>.
NOTE: IN PROGRESS shows during the test.
