GROUNDING PROCEDURE. ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE
TO THE CARD. THE ECS MISCELLANEOUS CARD IS AN ELECTROSTATIC
DISCHARGE SENSITIVE DEVICE AND COULD BE DAMAGED.
(1)
Install the ECS miscellaneous card in the M7603 forward electrical systems card file.

Close the circuit breaker 6J33 ECS MISC PC ASSY on the P6 main power distribution panel.

Apply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Do a ground test on any CMC CDU (AMM 21-31-00/501).
(a)
Select GROUND TEST on the CMC CDU, select chapter 21 AIR CONDITIONING - OVBD VALVE SYSTEM.
(b)
Make sure IN PROGRESS is shown on the CMC CDU.
(c)
Make sure PASS is shown on the CMC CDU.

FLIGHT DECK VENTILATION FAN - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General________
A. The flight deck ventilation fan is at the top of the fuselage in the area aft of the crew rest area on the left side of the airplane.
B. You can get access to the fan through the access door on the aft side of the crew rest area.

C. Prepare for Removal

(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE identifiers:
(a)
Main power distribution panel, P6
1) 6H31, FLT DK AIR FLOW CONT
(b)
Right Power Distribution Center, P415 1) 415D38, FLIGHT DECK FAN POWER

(2) Get access to the fan through the access door on the aft end of the crew rest area.
D. Remove the Fan

(1)
Disconnect the electrical connector, DH544, from the fan.
(2)
Remove the four clamps at the inlet and the outlet of the fan.

(3)
Pull the two duct sleeves away from the inlet and the outlet of the fan.
(4)
Remove the bolts, nuts, and washers from the two fan support rods.

Hold the fan while you remove the 3 nuts and washers that hold the fan to the support bracket.
