(1) Install the flight crew shoulder heater (Fig. 401).
(a)
Install the heater with the flow arrow pointed forward and install the support clamps.
(b)
Push the ducts on each end of the heater and install the clamps.

(2) Install the electrical connector on the heater.

(3) For the captain's heater, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P414 Power Distribution Center - Left
1) 414H10 AUX HEAT PWR CAPT HIGH
2) 414H11 AUX HEAT PWR CAPT LOW

(4) For the first officer's heater, remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P414 Power Distribution Center - Left.
1) 414H12 AUX HEAT PWR F/O HIGH

(6) S 864-011Supply conditioned air to the airplane by a ground cart or by operation of the air conditioning packs (AMM 21-00-00/201).

Do the "Prepare Safety-Sensitive Systems for Air Mode Simulation" task (AMM 32-09-02/201).

Put the airplane in the AIR mode. (AMM 32-09-02/201).

Do a test of the flight crew shoulder heater.
(a)
Set the applicable SHOULDER HEATERS switch to HI.
(b)
Make sure the heater is on.
1) Feel for an increase in the temperature of the air that comes from the shoulder vents, or feel the duct immediately dowmstream of the heater.
2) Set the applicable SHOULDER HEATERS switch to OFF.
