(6) CMCS Ground Test
(a) A ground test of the CPCS may be initiated with the central maintenance computer system. The test will isolate any faults in the CPCS to the failed LRU.
B. Control
(1)
Normally operation of the CPCS is automatic. No control functions are exercised.
(2)
The CPCS may be placed in manual mode if there is a failure of the automatic system. Outflow valve position is controlled by pressing the MAN-L or MAN-R switch on the CPCS selector panel and holding the OPEN-CLOSE toggle switch to the desired direction. Outflow valve position may be observed on the selector panel indicators or on the ECS synoptic page of the auxiliary EICAS.

A. This procedure has instructions to do the tasks that follow:
-Cabin Pressure Control System (CPCS) Ground Test
-Overboard Valve System Ground Test

-Functional Check of the Controller Analog Sensor

The Operational Check of the Outflow Valve and Manual Mode Control is a scheduled maintenance task. It is the same as the CPCS Manual Mode Test.
(3)
The Functional Check of the Controller Analog Sensor is a scheduled maintenance task. It is the same as the Cabin Altitude Display and Warning Test and the Cabin Altitude Sensors Disagreement Test.
(4)
The cargo fire control decompression system test is a scheduled maintenance task.

2. Cabin Pressure Control System (CPCS) Ground Test________________________________________________
A. General
(1) The ground test of the cabin pressure control system commands the applicable cabin pressure controller to do a self-test of its internal components. If the test fails, the test will stop.

Make sure the MAN-L and MAN-R switch-lights, on the overhead panel, P5, are in the off positions.

Prepare the CDU for the test:
(a)
Push the MENU key on the CDU to show the MENU.
(b)
Push the line select key (LSK) that is adjacent to <CMC to show the CMC MENU.
(c)
If <RETURN shows after you push the LSK, push the LSK that is adjacent to <RETURN until you see the CMC MENU.
(d)
Push the LSK that is adjacent to <GROUND TESTS to show the GROUND TESTS menu.
(e)
Push the LSK that is adjacent to <CABIN PRESSURE to show the GROUND TESTS for the cabin pressure control system.
(f)
Push the NEXT PAGE key until you find <CPCS-A or <CPCS-B.
