(10) Do a leak test of the override valve.
(a)
Set the AFT CARGO HT switch on the P5 overhead panel to ON.

(b)
With the override valve in the OPEN position, do a check for air leakage from around the valve to duct joints. 1) Light leakage is permitted. 2) If the leakage is strong, align the joints and tighten the

clamps.

(11) Do a leak test of the control valve.
(a)
Set the CARGO HEAT switch (installed immediately forward of the bulk cargo door) to the 65°F (20°C) position.

(b)
If the temperature in the compartment is more than 65°F (18°C), then do these steps: 1) Remove the cover plate from the sensor assembly box in the

bulk cargo compartment.
NOTE: The coverplate is on the left sidewall of the bulk
____ cargo compartment at station 2010.
2) Apply the cooling source to the high temperature switch to decrease the temperature of the switch to less than 65°F (20°C).
NOTE: The high temperature switch is on the right side of
____
the sensor assembly box.

3) If the temperature in the compartment is more than 90°F (32°C), apply the cooling source to the overheat switch also.
NOTE: The overheat switch is on the left side of the
____
sensor assembly box.

(c)
With the control valve in the OPEN position, do a check for air leakage from the valve to duct joints. 1) Light leakage is permitted. 2) If the leakage is strong, align the joints and tighten the

clamps.

(d)
If it is applicable, remove the cooling source from the sensor assembly box.

(e)
If removed, install the coverplate on the sensor assembly box.

Release the pressure in the pneumatic system (AMM 36-00-00/201).

AFT CARGO TEMPERATURE CONTROL SWITCH - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task removes the low temperature and the high temperature control switch for the aft cargo compartment. The second task installs the low temperature and the high temperature control switch for the aft cargo compartment.
B. The temperature control switches for the aft cargo compartment are found in the temperature sensor assembly for the bulk cargo compartment.
NOTE: The temperature sensor assembly for the bulk cargo compartment
____ is found on the left sidewall of the bulk cargo compartment.
