A. General
(1) Do this task to do a test of the main deck shutoff valves and the pack dump valves (SMACCS valves) when the ECS freighter card is inoperative.

Open the air conditioning bay access doors to get access to the pack 1 and pack 3 dump valves.
(2)
Make sure that the Main Deck Fire Arm switch is not armed.

(3) S 865-012Put the pack 2 and pack 3 air conditioning pack switches on the overhead P5 panel to OFF.
(4) S 865-013Put the Pack 1 air conditioning pack switch to NORM.
(5) S 035-014Remove electrical connector DV93 from the pack 1 flow control valve.
(6) S 035-015Remove the cap from connector D40823J at the L-MAIN EQPT / E1-1 THROUGH E1-6 disconnect panel number AE0411 at STA 450, approximately 5 feet above the floor and 50 inches to the left of the airplane centerline in the E/E bay.
(7) S 865-016Make sure that there is continuity between pins 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 of connector D40823J and ground.
NOTE:____ This step checks the open limit switch contacts for the five main deck shutoff valves as follows:
Pin 1, Main Deck Shutoff Valve 1, V544 Pin 3, Main Deck Shutoff Valve 2, V545 Pin 5, Main Deck Shutoff Valve 3, V546 Pin 7, Main Deck Shutoff Valve 4, V547 Pin 9, Main Deck Shutoff Valve 5, V548
(8) S 865-017Make sure that there is no continuity between pins 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 of connector D40823J and ground.
NOTE:____ This step checks the closed limit switch contacts for the five main deck shutoff valves as follows:
