Remove the access panel from the aft bulkhead of the bulk cargo compartment to get access to the outflow valves.

Remove the safety screen.

Remove the electrical connectors from the outflow valve:
(a)
The DC motor electrical connectors DV90C-right or DV91C-left
(b)
The AC motor electrical connector DV90A-right or DV91A-left
(c)
The position potentiometer electrical connector DV90B - right or DV91B - left.

Remove the connecting rod bolt.

Remove the bolt that holds the actuator to the gate frame.

Remove the bolt that holds the gearcase housing to the bracket.

Remove the outflow valve actuator assembly. Make sure the laminated shims stay in their position on the bracket.

C. Procedure
S 434-024
(1)
Make sure the laminated shim is in its position on the bracket.
S 424-012
(2)
Put the actuator in its position on the valve frame and install the bolts and washers. Do not tighten the bolts.
NOTE:____The shim is permanently bonded to the structure. Adjustment of the shim is not necessary.

(3)
Install the bolts that hold the actuator to the frame, and tighten all the bolts.
S 434-014
(4)
Install the connecting rod bolt, washers, nut and cotter pin.
