 (b)  If the temperature of the air in the aft cargo compartment is more than 40°F (5°C), do this step: 1) Apply a cool source to the probe end of the low temperature
 switch.
 NOTE: This will decrease the temperature of the switch

 (c)  If the temperature of the air in the aft cargo compartment is more than 80°F (25°C), do this step: 1) Apply a cool source to the overheat switch.
 NOTE: This will decrease the temperature of the switch

 AFT CARGO OVERHEAT SWITCH - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure has two tasks. The first task is for the removal of the overheat switch for the aft cargo compartment. The other task is for the installation of the overheat switch.
 B.  The overheat switch is in the bulk cargo compartment on the left sidewall. The overheat switch is in a sensor box which contains the temperature sensor assembly for the cargo compartment.
 C.  The procedure has these steps:

Remove power from the overheat switch

 -
Remove the coverplate from the sensor box

 -
Remove the overheat switch

 -Install the overheat switch
 -Do a test of the overheat switch.

 (1)  Open this circuit breaker on the P7 overhead circuit breaker panel and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
 (a)  7H9, CARGO HEAT AFT
