FLIGHT CREW FOOT HEATER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of a flight crew foot heater. The procedure has these parts:
(1)
The removal of power to the heaters
(2)
The removal of a main deck ceiling panel to get access to the heater electrical connector
(3)
The removal of the heater
(4)
The installation of the heater
(5)
A functional test of the heater.

(1) For the captain's foot heaters, open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P414 Power Distribution Center - Left 1) 414H10 AUX HEAT PWR CAPT HIGH 2) 414H11 AUX HEAT PWR CAPT LOW

(2) For the first officer's foot heaters, open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P414 Power Distribution Center - Left 1) 414H12 AUX HEAT PWR F/O HIGH

(3) Remove the flight crew foot heater.
(a)
Disconnect the electrical connector in the ceiling space of the main deck cabin. 1) Captain's foot heaters, DH519-left and DH520-right. 2) First officer's foot heater, DH521-left and DH522-right.
(b)
Remove the 12 screws from around the foot heater and remove the foot heater. Remove the electrical connector through the hole in the floor.

3. Flight Crew Foot Heater Installation____________________________________
A. Consumable Materials
(1) Dry Ice - If the flight compartment temperature is greater than 73°F (23°C).
