(1) Clean and dry the skin faying surface.
(a)
Use a brush or cloth that is moist with solvent to remove all the remaining sealant from the airplane skin. Use the minimum quantity of solvent that is necessary.
(b)
Use compressed air that is filtered and free of oil and water to remove the remaining solvent.
(c)
Rub the area with a lint-free cloth that is moist with solvent.
(d)
Dry the area with a lint-free cloth.

(2) Apply a faying surface sealant with BMS 5-95 between the gasket and the skin panel.

(3) S 424-013Install the gasket and the pressure relief valve on the airplane skin. Make sure the integral ambient sense line and all the screw holes align with the mating holes.
(4) S 434-014Install the screws to attach the valve to the skin.

CAUTION: DO NOT PERMIT THE SEALANT TO GET INTO THE END OF THE INTEGRAL
_______ AMBIENT SENSE LINE. SEALANT IN THE SENSE LINE CAN PREVENT THE ACCURATE OPERATION OF THE VALVE POSITION INDICATION SYSTEM.

Apply BMS 5-26 sealant around the integral ambient sense line to make a continuous surface with the outer skin.

From the external surface of the airplane, use the BMS 5-95 sealant to fill the space between the valve and the skin to make a continuous surface.

Install the remote ambient sense line.

Install the electrical connector on the valve (upper valve - DS667, lower valve - DS668).

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:

(10) Do a test of the pressure relief valve (Ref 21-32-01/501).
NOTE: The static system leak check may be performed using
____ either of the two test fixtures. (Hamilton Standard Valve Test Fixture GS 13963-1 or Boeing Test Equiptment A21010-57)
