When the flow selector is set to HIGH (FWD or AFT), the cabin shutoff valve will close and the flow regulating valve will go to its full open position. All of the pack flow will therefore be diverted to the applicable cargo zone.
(3)
In the event of a fire condition in the cargo compartment, The cabin shutoff valves will open and the flow regulating valves will close. This will stop the flow of air to the cargo compartments and will allow flow of air to continue to the main and upper deck areas.
B. Control
(1)
Operate the air conditioning packs (AMM 21-00-00/201).
(2)
Set the desired flow rate on the LOWER LOBE CARGO COND AIR FLOW RATE selector on the overhead P461 panel.
(3)
Select the compartment temperature on the LOWER LOBE TEMP selector switch on the overhead P5 panel.
(4)
To shut down the cargo air conditioning system set the LOWER LOBE CARGO COND AIR FLOW RATE selector to OFF.

A. This procedure gives the instructions to do the lower lobe cargo air conditioning ground test

2. Lower Lobe Cargo Air Conditioning Ground Test_____________________________________________
A. General
(1)
The ground test for the lower lobe cargo air conditioning system commands these conditions to occur:
(a)
The forward and aft cargo flow regulating valves to open and close.
(b)
The forward and aft cabin shutoff valves to open and close.
(c)
The forward and aft cargo trim shutoff valves to open and close.
(2)
If one of the valves does not move to its commanded position, then the ground test fails.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Make sure the following switches on the overhead P5 panel are set as follows:
(a)
All the ZONE TEMP selectors to AUTO.
(b)
All the PACK selectors to OFF.
(c)
The TRIM AIR switch to OFF.
(d)
The HIGH FLOW switch to OFF.
