(2) When a pack is shut down by closure of its flow control and shutoff valve, it ceases to supply the main distribution manifold. Check valves prevent reverse flow of air from the plenum into the pack.

CONDITIONED AIR CHECK VALVE - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. There is one task in this procedure, an inspection of a conditioned air check valve.
B. There is a conditioned air check valve for each of the three air conditioning packs. The check valves are installed on the forward bulkhead of the wing gear wheel well.
C. This procedure is the same for all three check valves.
D. Access to the check valves is through the wing gear wheel well.

Make sure that all three PACKS switches on the P5 overhead panel are set to OFF.

Make sure the landing gear ground locks are installed (AMM 09-11-00/201).

WARNING: REFER TO THE SPECIFIED PROCEDURE TO INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS
_______ CORRECTLY. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS INCORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.
(3) Install the body and the wing gear door locks (AMM 32-00-30/201).
