Put the LOWER LOBE CARGO COND AIR FLOW RATE selector on the P461 panel in the OFF position.

Make sure the VENT FANS switch on the P86 panel in the lower forward cargo compartment is in the OFF position.

Open, then close this circuit breaker on the main power distribution, panel, P6:

Open the access door for the right air conditioning bay to get access to pack 3 (AMM 06-09-03/201).
D. Do the Test of the Forward Cargo Ventilation Fans

(1) Do these steps to check the operation of the forward cargo fans and their interfaces:
(a)
Make sure both fans do not operate.
(b)
Put the VENT FANS switch on the P86 panel in the forward cargo compartment to ON.
(c)
Make sure that both forward fans operate.
NOTE: To check for fan operation make sure there is airflow
____ out of the air exits or look at the ECS Maintenance Page for Air Conditioning to see if the fans are ON or OFF.
(d)
Close the forward cargo door.
(e)
Make sure that both fans do not operate.
(f)
Open the forward cargo door.
(g)
Make sure that both fans operate.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THE CIRCUIT BREAKER IN THE SUBSEQUENT STEP IS
_______ OPENED. IF IT IS NOT OPENED, THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLES COULD RELEASE THEIR CONTENTS AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
(h)
Open this circuit breaker on the main power distribution panel, P6, and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag: 1) 6H6, FIRE EXTINGUISHER LOWER CARGO
(i)
Put the FWD cargo fire switch on the P5 panel to ARMED.

Put the FWD cargo fire switch to the unarmed position.
(l)
Make sure that both fans operate.
WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY FOLLOW THE STEPS IN THE SPECIFIED TASK
_______ TO PUT THE AIR/GROUND RELAY SYSTEM IN THE AIR MODE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE STEPS CORRECTLY CAN CAUSE THE AUTOMATIC OPERATION OF THE AIRPLANE SYSTEMS. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(m)
Do the "Put the Air/Ground Relay System in the Air Mode" task (AMM 32-09-02/201).
(n)
Make sure that both fans do not operate.
(o)
Put the LOWER LOBE CARGO COND AIR FLOW RATE selector on the P461 panel to FWD LOW.
(p)
Put the pack 3 selector to NORM.
(q)
Get access to the pack 3 flow control valve and disconnect the electrical connector, DV95 from the flow control valve.
(r)
Make sure that both fans do not operate.
(s)
Reconnect the electrical connector on the valve.
