 1.  General
_______
 A.  There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the lower forward cargo overboard back-up valve.
 B.  The lower forward cargo overboard back-up valve is installed in the overboard exhaust stack in the floor area of the forward cargo compartment.

 S 864-002
 (1)  Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT CLOSE tags:
 (a)  
P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6E34 CARGO AIR COND PCA

 (b)  
P180 DC Power Distribution Panel 1) 180E28 FWD CARGO VLV PWR EXH BACK UP

 S 034-003
 (2)  Remove the electrical connector DV531 from the valve.
 NOTE: The valve is in the floor area of the forward cargo

 compartment at station 770.

 (3)  
Remove the bonding jumper from the valve.

 S 034-005

 (4)  
Loosen the clamp on the inboard end of the valve and remove the inlet assembly.

 S 024-006

 (5)  
Loosen the clamp on the outboard end of the valve and remove the valve.

 (6)  
Install a cover on the duct opening to prevent entry of unwanted objects.

 (1)  
Remove the cover from the duct opening.

 (2)
Make sure the mating surfaces of the valve and duct are clean.

Install the valve with the flow arrow pointed to the overboard valve and install the clamp on the inboard end of the valve.

Put the inlet assembly on the outboard end of the fan and install the clamp.

 (5)  
Examine the valve installation to make sure the clamps are tight and the valve aligns correctly with the duct.

Install the bonding jumper on the valve.

 (7)  
Install the electrical connector DV531 on the valve.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
