(3) Remove the stowage box (AMM 35-11-18/401).
D. Procedure
S 024-005
(1) Remove the flight deck shoulder air outlet valve.
(a)
Disconnect the control cable from the valve assembly.
(b)
Remove two straps from each end of the valve.
(c)
Pull the sleeve off the valve.
(d)
Remove the four screws and washers on the clamps that hold the valve.
(e)
Remove the clamps.
(f)
Remove the valve.

Install the flight deck shoulder air outlet valve.
(a)
Connect the control cable to the valve.
(b)
Put the sleeve over the valve.
(c)
Install the ducts and the straps on each end of the valve.
(d)
Install the clamps and tighten the screws.
(2)
Install the stowage box (AMM 35-11-18/401).

MAIN AND UPPER DECK CONDITIONED AIR DISTRIBUTION - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General
_______
A. The 5 main deck fire shutoff valves and the pack dump valves (SMACCS valves) will close when the Main Deck Cargo Fire Arm switch is set to the ARMED position.
B. This procedure has two tasks to do a test of the main deck fire shutoff valves and the pack dump valves.
(1)
The first task is the usual way to do a test of the valves. This method uses the ECS Freighter card to cycle the valves.
(2)
The alternate task should be used when the ECS freighter card is inoperative and the first test can not be done.

Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

(2)
Put the three air conditioning pack switches on the overhead P5 panel to OFF.
(3)
Push and hold the FIRE/OVHT TEST switch on the P5 panel.

NOTE: You must hold the switch down for approximately 15 seconds to
____ start the automatic test of the valves.

Make sure that after approximately 15 seconds the EICAS message VLV TEST IN PROG shows on the EICAS display.

Make sure that the EICAS message VALVE TEST PASS shows on the EICAS display approximately 2 minutes after you start the test.
