Do these steps if it is necessary to decrease the force to operate the hatch (Fig. 502).
(a)
Loosen the fasteners adjacent to the hatch that hold the sidewall panel.
(b)
Push the sidewall panel outboard.
(c)
Tighten the fasteners that hold the sidewall panel.
(d)
Do a check of the force to operate the hatch again.
(e)
Do these steps if the force stays more than the limit: 1) Loosen the fasteners that attach the panel around the edge
of the hatch. 2) Pull the panel inboard. 3) Tighten the fasteners again. 4) Do a check of the force to operate the hatch again.
(f)
Do these steps if the force stays more than the limit:
1) Add shims between the lining support and the hatch structure.
