Install the hinge covers.
(a)
Put the cover brackets (13) below the heads of the bolts through the latch pins.
(b)
Tighten the bolts to 110 to 130 pound-inches.
(c)
Install the hinge covers on the cover brackets.

Install the external handle.
(a)
Push the external handle (7) and shaft (8) into the handle mechanism.
(b)
Install the cam plate (5), washer (9) and nut (10).
(c)
Lock the nut with a cotter pin.

Install the door on the airplane (Ref 52-11-00/401).

FORWARD ENTRY DOOR GUIDE ARM - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

A. This procedure contains two tasks:
(1)
The removal of the guide arm from the forward entry door
(2)
The installation of the guide arm on the forward entry door.

2. Forward Entry Door Guide Arm Removal (Fig. 401)

Procedure

(1) Disconnect the guide arm from the fuselage. (a) Open the door sufficiently to get to the radius links (16 and 27). (b) Remove the retaining ring (25). (c) Remove the pin (26) and the washers (13 and 23). (d) Move the radius link away from the guide arm. (e) Remove the latch lever screw (8), nut (18), washers (19) , latch lever (20), and shaft (21).

(2) Move the guide arm away from the fuselage.
CAUTION:_______ BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU MOVE THE DOOR. WITH THE GUIDE ARM DISCONNECTED, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE DOOR WHEN YOU MOVE IT.
(a) (b) (c) Close the door sufficiently to get to the cover on the hinge.Push the cover on the hinge until you can get to the guide arm.Pull the guide arm out and away from the guide plates.

(3) Disconnect the guide arm from the door. (a) Remove the four bolts that hold the fitting (1) to the hinge support.
