3. Aft Entry Door Adjustment (Normal) (Fig. 501)__________________________________
A. General
(1)
It is best to adjust the door when the airplane is on its wheels. It is possible to adjust the door with the airplane on jacks. But, if the airplane is on jacks, it is necessary to complete the adjustment with the airplane on its wheels. Check the adjustment of the stop pins, the door flushness and the handle torque only when the airplane is on its wheels.
(2)
The adjustments for the guide arm, horizontal control rod, door vertical, latch cams, upper and lower gate flushness, and stop pins are related. Changing one of the adjustments may effect the other adjustments. Make sure all adjustments are within tolerance before you complete the adjustment procedure.
