MOVE THE LATCH FITTING INBOARD OR OUTBOARD ON THE SERRATED PLATE.

MAKE SURE THE SERRATIONS FIT TOGETHER
CORRECTLY.
6.
TIGHTEN THE FASTENERS ON THE FITTING.
7.
LATCH FITTINGS WITH A DOOR WARNING SWITCH: TIGHTEN THE SWITCH AND INSTALL THE COVER.
8.
ADJUST EACH STOP PIN UNTIL IT HAS THE
CORRECT CLEARANCE (FIG 516).
NECESSARY CONDITION:
THE FLUSHNESS AT THE FORWARD AND AFT EDGES
MUST HAVE THE NECESSARY DIMENSIONS.
1 A NEGATIVE FLUSHNESS SHOWS THE DOOR IS INBOARD OF THE FUSELAGE CONTOUR. A POSITIVE FLUSHNESS SHOWS THE DOOR IS OUTBOARD OF THE FUSELAGE CONTOUR.
2 YOU CAN CHANGE THE FLUSHNESS TOLERANCE BY |0.03 INCH IN ONE OR MORE LOCATIONS FOR NOT MORE THAN 10 INCHES.

GATE PUSH ROD DOOR (LINING SUPPORT IS NOT SHOWN)
GATE FLUSHNESS ADJUSTMENT A-A
GATE FLUSHNESS ADJUSTMENT
1.
DISCONNECT THE HORIZONTAL PUSHROD.
2.
PUSH THE GATE AWAY FROM THE DOOR TO
GET ACCESS TO THE PUSH ROD.
3.
LOOSEN THE CHECK NUTS.
4.
CHANGE THE LENGTH OF THE GATE CONTROl
ROD UNTIL THE FLUSHNESS IS CORRECT.
5.
MAKE SURE THE LUBRICATION FITTING ON
THE ROD IS INBOARD.
6.
TIGHTEN THE CHECK NUT.
7.
CONNECT THE HORIZONTAL PUSH ROD.
8.
CLOSE AND LATCH THE DOOR.
NECESSARY CONDITION:
1. THE GATE FLUSHNESS MUST HAVE THE
NECESSARY DIMENSIONS.

TURN THE END FITTING TO CHANGE THE LENGTH

ADJUST THE HANDLE SO THE LATCH ROLLERS ARE

CONNECT THE HORIZONTAL PUSH ROD TO THE OUTBD TORQUE TUBE.

TIGHTEN THE CHECKNUT. CORRECT LATCH ROLLER PATH
NECESSARY CONDITIONS
1.
EACH LATCH ROLLER MUST BE IN ITS LATCH FITTING BEFORE THE LATCH ROD STARTS TO TURN.
2.
EACH LATCH ROLLER MUST CLEAR THE ENTRY LIP OF ITS LATCH FITTING
