(b) The door latch rollers must be in their latch cams before the latch roller crank starts to turn.
(6) (c) The gate clearances (top and bottom) must be within tolerance. (d) The door flushness (vertical edges) must be within tolerance. (e) The gate flushness (top and bottom) must be within tolerance. (f) The stop pins must be clear of the stop pads by 1/2 turn.Use clay to make sure these components do not bottom out:
NOTE:____ Use some vaseline on the clay surface to keep the clay off all parts.
(7) (a) latches (b) stop pins (c) cranks.Make sure the latches are not out of time with the handle cam: (a) As you close the door: 1) Make sure the door body comes inboard 0.015 inch as the latches go 10 degrees overcenter. 2) Make sure the gates stop and do not go inboard. (b) With the door closed: 1) Make sure the pushrod is aligned correctly with the crank that operates the gate.
NOTE:____ These should have a dead center alignament with the latching torque tube.
(8) (9) Make sure the snubber is not bottoming out.Do a check for guide cams that are no aligned correctly:
NOTE:____ This can be caused by bolt hole tolerances in a new cam.

Make sure the cam plates do not cause the guide arm to work hard on one cam plate and force the guide arm to come loose.
(10)
Do a check for rotated cam plates:
(a)
Make sure the door does not have extra travel in the cocked or the open position.
NOTE: The handle loads may not be high.
____
B. Trouble-shoot high handle torque (Ref 52-11-00/501 for usual limits)
