(1)
Open the door sufficiently to remove the diaphragm seal.
S 034-008-B00
(2)
Remove the bolt that holds the control rod to the gate.

(3)
Remove the diaphragm seal.
(a)
Push the gate outboard.
(b)
Look to see if the diaphragm seals are held with nylon rods or seal angles.
(c)
Remove the applicable nylon rods or seal angles.
WARNING: DO NOT GET METHYL ETHYL KETONE (MEK) IN YOUR MOUTH OR
_______ EYES, OR ON YOUR SKIN. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM MEK. PUT ON A PROTECTIVE SPLASH GOGGLE AND GLOVES WHEN YOU USE MEK. KEEP MEK AWAY FROM SPARKS, FLAME AND HEAT. MEK IS A POISONOUS AND FLAMMABLE SOLVENT WHICH CAN CAUSE INJURY OR DAMAGE.
(d)
Use MEK to remove the old adhesive that holds the diaphragm seal to the door structure.
(e)
Pull the diaphragm seal off the door.

Remove grease, oil, dirt, or adhesive from the surfaces the seal touches with MEK and a clean cloth.

Install the diaphagm seal.
(a)
Put the diaphragm seal on the door along the hinge of the door gate.
(b)
Use the nylon rods to install the diaphragm seal. 1) Make sure the diameter of the seal socket is from 0.122 to
0.132 inch.
a) Replace the seal socket if the diameter is not correct. 2) Push the diaphragm seal into the seal socket. 3) Push the nylon rods into the seal socket to hold the
diaphragm seal in its position.
NOTE: Liquid soap is a good lubricant for the
____
nylon rods.
(c) Use the seal angle to install the diaphragm seal. 1) Make holes in the diaphragm seal that align with the holes in the seal angle. 2) Put the sealant between the diaphragm seal, the door and
the door gate. 3) Put the seal angle on the diaphragm seal with the screws. 4) Tighten the screws until the seal angle compresses the
diaphragm seal.
