 (4)  Attach a 60-pound weight approximately in the middle of the bottom half of the door.
 NOTE: This weight makes the door operate as if the escape slide

 was installed.

You may use the rigging simulator tool, C52006-1.

Adjust the Aft Entry Door


 S 825-006-B00
 (1)  
Move the stop pins (26) inboard until they align with the outboard edge of the door stop fittings (22).

 (2)  
Adjust the guide arm on the top hinge.

 (a)  
Change the length of the guide arm to make the door parallel to the door opening.


 NOTE: Make the arm shorter to move the aft edge of the door
____ inboard. Make the guide arm longer to move the aft edge of the door outboard.
 (b)  
Move the door until the forward and the aft latch rollers engage the latch fittings at the same timne.

 (c)  
Make sure the lubrication fitting on the guide arm is inboard.

 (3)  
Adjust the door vertically.

 (a)  
Remove the adjustable guide (5) from the aft edge of the door.

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT TIGHTEN THE NUTS (13) TOO MUCH. IF THE NUTS ARE TOO TIGHT A LARGE LOAD IS ON THE BEARINGS (14) IN THE HANDLE MECHANISM. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE HANDLE MECHANISM.

 (b)  
Turn the nuts (13) on the torque tube (14) to get the correct clearance between the gates and the door opening. 1) Use the bearing retainer spanner wrench (F70085) to turn


 the nuts.

DOOR FLUSHNESS  DOOR CLEARANCE

 

A NEGATIVE FLUSHNESS SHOWS THE DOOR IS INBOARD OF THE FULELAGE CONTOUR.
A POSITIVE FLUSHNESS SHOWS THE DOOR IS OUTBOARD OF THE FUSELAGE CONTOUR.
YOU CAN CHANGE THE FLUSHNESS TOLERANCE BY |0.03 INCH IN ONE OR MORE LOCATIONS FOR

NOT MORE THAN 10 INCHES.

 (c)  Install the cotter pins in the nuts.

 (4)  
Adjust the door flushness (Fig. 502).

 (a)  
Make sure the door is closed and latched.

 (b)  
Move the latch fittings (24) inboard or outboard until you get the correct door flushness (Fig. 502) at the forward and aft edges of the door.


 NOTE: Measure these dimensions only along the straight
