Procedure

 S 864-006-B00
 (1)  
Open the door sufficiently to install the seal.

 S 424-007-B00

 (2)
Install the part of the seal that is on the lining of the door.

 (a)  
Make holes in the seal that align with the holes in the trim.

 (b)  
Put the seal below the trim.

 (c)  
Install the screws in the trim and through the seal.

 (3)  
Install the part of the seal that is on the lining of the door opening.

 (a)  
Push one side of the seal into the flange.

 (b)  
Use the special tool to push the other side of the seal into the flange.

 (4)  
Close the door.

 LIGHT SEALS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  Light seals keep light out of the control cabin. There are two alternatives to attach these seals:
 (1)
The seal is bonded to the hinge

 (2)
A retainer holds the seal on the structure.

 B.  
This procedure contains two tasks:

 (1)
The installation of a light seal

 (2)
The removal of a light seal.

 C.  
This procedure refers to the light seals as "the seals".

Procedure

 (1)
Open the door sufficiently to remove the seal.

 S 024-003-B00

 (2)
Remove a seal attached with a retainer.

 NOTE: This seal is at the top of the door.

 (a)
Remove the screws that hold the retainer.

 (b)
Remove the seal.

 (3)
Remove a seal that is bonded to the hinge

 (a)
Remove the door.

 (b)
Remove the hinge from the door.

 (c)
Pull the seal away from the hinge.

 NOTE: The adhesive will break when you pull the seal.
