(4) S 358-020-B00If the crack is in the correct location, repair the stop fitting: (a) Cut a 0.06 +/-0.01-inch wide slot to remove the crack. (b) Make a spotface in the stop fitting to give a 0.002 to 0.012-inch clearance with the bearing plate. (c) Prepare the surfaces (Method III) and apply Alodine (Ref 51-21-41/701 and 51-21-21/701). (d) Apply the primer (AMM 51-21-99/701).
(5) S 428-021-B00Bond the bearing plate to the stop fitting with the BMS 5-95 sealant.

FORWARD ENTRY DOOR HINGE ARMS - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks:
(1)
The removal of the hinge arms from the forward entry door
(2)
The installation of the hinge arms on the forward entry door.

Allen wrench - 1/4 inch with the short arm not more than 1/2 inch long

Procedure
S 014-002-B00
(1) Remove the lining from the door (Ref 52-11-31/401).
S 014-003-B00
(2) Remove the door from the airplane (Ref 52-11-00/401).

(3) Remove the external handle (Fig. 401). (a) Remove the nut (10), washer (9) and cam plate (5). (b) Remove the bolts (28) in the recess for the external handle. (c) Remove the external handle.
S 014-005-B00
(4) Get access to the mechanisms in the door. (a) Remove the covers from the external surface of each hinge arm (16). (b) Remove the access panels (6) to get access to the torque tube (2) and the housing for the handle mechanism (3).
