Prepare to adjust the door.
S 015-008-B00
(1)
Remove the escape slide from the door (25-61-35/201).
S 015-009-B00
(2)
Remove the door lining and the insulation (Ref 52-11-31/401).

Remove the access panel (4) from the door structure.

Attach a 90-pound weight approximately in the middle of the bottom half of the door.
NOTE: This weight is equivalent to the escape slide and the door liner .

You may use the rigging simulator tool, C52006-1.

Adjust the Forward Entry Door Guide Arm

(1)
Open the door and move it until it is parallel to the contour of the fuselage near the closed position.

(2)
To make sure the door is parallel, do a check for these two
conditions:
(a)
The forward edge of the door next to the latch receiver must be
0.50 +/-.10 inch (12.7 +/-2.54mm) inboard of the fuselage skin.
(b)
While maintaining the position and dimension on the forward edge of the door, the distance between the aft edge of the door next to the aft latch receiver must be within +/-.20 inch (5.08mm) of the forward edge dimension.
(c)
If the door is not parallel to the contour of the fuselage after taking the above dimensions, adjust the guide arm.
NOTE: Make the guide arm shorter to move the aft edge of
____ the door inboard. Make the guide arm longer to move the aft edge of the door outboard.
1) Move the door until the forward and the aft latch rollers engage the latch fittings at the same time.
(d) Make sure the lubrication fitting on the guide arm is inboard.
