5) Make sure the lubrication fitting in the rod end (35) is inboard. 6) Tighten the nut on the control rod.

Make sure the latch rollers engage the latch fittings with a minimum width of 0.25 inch (Fig. 501, View B). 1) Change the shims in the fitting that holds the latch roller
to the torque tube to get the correct dimension.
(f)
Make sure play in the end of the latch torque tubes is a maximum of 0.020 inch. 1) Change the shims in the end of the torque tube to get the
correct play.

Adjust the gate flushness.
(a)
Adjust the gate control rods (Fig. 503) until you get the correct flushness (Fig. 502) at the top and the bottom gates.
(b)
Make sure the lubrication fitting on the gate control rods is inboard.
(c)
While the door is closed and latched, adjust the gate stop rods. 1) Move the rod end on the stop rod until it touches the
bearing. 2) Make sure the lubrication fitting is inboard.

(7) Adjust the stop pins (1) as follows:
NOTE: The stop pins are correctly adjusted if the clearance
____ between all stop pins and stop pads is between 0.015 and
0.030 inch when the door is fully closed and latched. You can get a minimum travel of 0.007 inch through different combinations of locking grooves between the stop pin and stop pin bushing.
(a)
Make sure the door is closed and latched.
(b)
Move the stop pins outboard until they touch the stop fittings.
(c)
Turn the stop pins 1/2 turn inboard.
(d)
Turn the stop pins inboard until groves in the stop pin and stop pin bushing align.
(e)
Install the lockspring in each stop pin.
(f)
Do a check of the area that the stop pins hit on the stop fittings. 1) Open the door. 2) Put a piece of clay on each stop fitting. 3) Close and latch the door. 4) Open the door. 5) See that the stop pins hit the stop fittings in the
dimensions shown in Section A-A of Fig. 501.

Adjust the snubber on the bottom hinge.
(a)
Open the door.
(b)
Make the snubber longer if it keeps the door from the fully open position. 1) Remove the four bolts that hold the fitting (18) to the
structure. 2) Turn the rod end to change the length of the snubber. 3) Attach the fitting (18) to the structure with the four
bolts.

Install the guide pin (23).
(a)
Move the adjustable guide on its plate until the guide pin lightly touches the guide track while the door closes.
(b)
See that when the door is closed, the guide pin does not have a load on it.

Make sure the spring (7) holds the handle in its recess in the door.

Adjust the spring retaining nut (26) until the spring holds the handle in the recess. 1) Remove the external handle, the washer and the lock ring. 2) Use the special door handle wrench (F70038) to turn the
retaining nut. 3) Install the lock ring, the washer and the external handle.
