D. Get Access
(1)
Open the AFT cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2)
Put the access platform below the AFT cargo-compartment door 826.
(3)
Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the ON position.
(4)
Remove the related lining panel to get access to the oxygen storage (Ref. TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
(5)
Close the manual shut-off valves of the emergency oxygen cylinders.
4. Procedure

WARNING : KEEP ALL HYDROCARBONS (FUELS, LUBRICANTS, ETC.) AWAY FROM ALL

SOURCE OF OXYGEN. OXYGEN BECOMES EXPLOSIVE WHEN IT TOUCHES
HYDROCARBONS.
WARNING : CLEAN THE TOOLS AND MAKE SURE YOUR HANDS ARE CLEAN TO PREVENT

CONTAMINATION OF THE OXYGEN SYSTEM.
CAUTION : PUT DRY, CLEAN, METAL OR PLASTIC PLUGS ON ALL PIPES OR UNITS
_______ REMOVED TEMPORARILY. PUT EACH PIPE OR UNIT IN A SEALED VINYL BAG.

(1)
If necessary, remove the support brace C63.
(2)
Hold the end fitting (5) so that it cannot turn and loosen the nut (1).
(3)
Hold the end fitting (3) so that it cannot turn, loosen the nut (4) and remove the thermal compensator (2).
(4)
Put PLUG - BLANKING on the disconnected line ends.
(5)
Put the disconnected line ends into a sealed BAG - VINYL.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
Make sure that a warning notice is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the emergency oxygen sytem.
(3)
Make sure that the access platform is in position at the AFT cargo-compartment door 826.
(4)
Make sure that the AFT cargo-compartment door 826 is open (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
