A. Do a visual inspection of the portable oxygen cylinders.
(1)
make sure that the cylinders are clean,
(2)
examine the cylinder for dents, scratches, cracks, distortion and corrosion,
(3)
make sure that the protective treatment is not damaged,
(4)
examine the pressure regulator for damage and make sure that it is clean and correctly attached,
(5)
examine the pressure gage for damage and make sure that you can read the scale,
(6)
make sure that the pressure gage shows that the cylinders are full,
(7)
examine the filling valve, the relief valves and outlet connections for correct attachment and make sure that they are clean,
(8)
examine the carrying-straps for damage and correct attachment, NOTE : If one or more of the inspections is not satisfactory, you
____ must replace the portable oxygen cylinder.
(9)
Make sure that the stowage positions and the quick release clamps are clean and in the correct condition.
