Make sure that a warning notice is in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the emergency oxygen system.

Make sure that the access platform is in position at the AFT cargo-compartment door 826.
(4)
Make sure that the AFT cargo-compartment door 826 is open (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(5)
Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU is in the ON position.
(6)
Make sure that the related lining panel is removed (Ref. TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
(7)
Make sure that the manual shut-off valves of the emergency oxygen cylinders are close.
(8)
Obey the special precautions when you do this task (Ref. TASK 35-00-00-860-001).

Subtask 35-21-51-420-050
A. Installation of the Oxygen Cylinder Assemblies (991WR1-991WR6)
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 35-21-51-991-001)
(1)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Put the oxygen cylinder (2) in position and push it into the cylinder basket.
(3)
Close the clamps (1) and tighten the nuts (3) with your fingers.
(4)
Remove the vinyl bags from the disconnected line ends.
(5)
Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(6)
Where necessary, install the blanking plugs on the storage points or attach them to the structure.
(7)
Make sure that the line end fittings are serviceable.
(8)
Put the pressure reducer (7) in position and tighten the nut (6) with your fingers.
(9)
Put the hose (4) in position and tighten the nut (5) with your fingers.
(10) Tighten the connections CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE FLEXIBLE HOSES ARE NOT TWISTED OR PULLED
_______ TIGHT. IF THE HOSES ARE TWISTED OR PULLED TIGHT, THE CONNECTIONS WILL BREAK AND CAUSE A LEAK.
NOTE : You must hold the fittings tightly in the correct position.

TORQUE the nut (6) to between 6.78 and 8.12 m.daN (49.99 and
59.88 lbf.ft).
(b)
TORQUE the nut (5) to between 1.78 and 1.92 m.daN (13.12 and
14.15 lbf.ft).
(c)
Tighten the clamp straps
1_ TORQUE the nut (3) of the oblique clamp strap to 0.5 m.daN
(44.24 lbf.in).
2_ TORQUE the nut (3) of the vertical clamp strap to 0.5 m.daN
(44.24 lbf.in).
3_ Repeat step 1 and 2 until the two nuts are torqued to 0.5
m.daN (44.24 lbf.in).
(11) FOR 991WR2, 991WR5 Install the support brace C63.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1WR, 2WR.

C. Do a Leak Check of the connections
(1)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-004) to the connections of the emergency oxygen cylinder.
(2)
Examine the connections for leaks.
NOTE : Leaks are not permitted.
