_______
SOURCE OF OXYGEN. OXYGEN BECOMES EXPLOSIVE WHEN IT TOUCHES
HYDROCARBONS.
WARNING : CLEAN THE TOOLS AND MAKE SURE YOUR HANDS ARE CLEAN TO PREVENT
_______
CONTAMINATION OF THE OXYGEN SYSTEM.
Subtask 35-23-52-420-050
A. Installation of the Oxygen Regulator (910WR1/910WR2)
(Ref. Fig. 401/TASK 35-23-52-991-001)
(1)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Remove the vinyl bags from the disconnected line ends.
(3)
Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(4)
Put the oxygen regulator (8) in position and install the screws (7) and the washers (6).
NOTE : The flow arrow on the oxygen regulator must point in the flow
____
direction.
(5)
Apply PAINTS FOR DETAIL (INTERNAL AND EXTERN AL) (Material No. 07-001D) and SEALANTS (Material No. 09-016B) to the bonding screw.

Connect the hoses (1) and (3) and tighten the nuts (2) and (4) with your fingers.
(7)
Tighten the connections CAUTION : MAKE SURE THAT THE FLEXIBLE HOSES ARE NOT TWISTED OR PULLED
_______ TIGHT. IF THE HOSES ARE TWISTED OR PULLED TIGHT, THE CONNECTIONS WILL BREAK AND CAUSE A LEAK.
NOTE : You must hold the fitting tightly in the correct position.
____
(a)
TORQUE the nut (2) to between 2.60 and 2.94 m.daN (19.17 and
21.68 lbf.ft).
(b)
TORQUE the nut (4) to between 5.20 and 5.65 m.daN (38.34 and
41.66 lbf.ft).
(8)
Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connectors.
(9)
Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(10) Connect the electrical connector (5). Subtask 35-23-52-865-052
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1WR, 2WR.
Subtask 35-23-52-790-050
C. Do this leakage check (Ref. TASK 35-23-00-790-001).
Subtask 35-23-52-720-050
D. Test of the Oxygen Regulator (910WR1/910WR2)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------ACTION RESULT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. On the overhead panel 20VU in the cockpit:
-Examine the Passenger Oxygen Indication Panel (POXIP).
2. On the overhead panel 20VU in the cockpit:
-Push the TEST pushbutton on the POXIP for approx. 1 sec.
Subtask 35-23-52-614-051On the overhead panel 20VU in thecockpit:
-Make sure that there are no 'SYS 1'and 'SYS 2'indication on the POXIP.
On the overhead panel 20VU in thecockpit:
-All indication lights on the POXIPcome on.
-On the display of the POXIP the indication '8888' comes on.
On the overhead panel 20VU in the cockpit, after 3 seconds:
-All indication lights on the POXIP go off.
-
On the display of the POXIP some indications of a BITE-Test come on.
On the overhead panel 20VU in the cockpit, after 6 seconds:
-
On the display of the POXIP the indication of the oxygen system pressure comes on.
E. Pressurize the Emergency Oxygen System
(1)
Slowly open the manual shut-off valves of the emergency oxygen cylinders 3.5 to 4 turns.
(2)
Let the pressure become stable.
NOTE : This occurs after approximately 90 seconds.
____
(3)
Fully open the manual shut-off valves of the emergency oxygen cylinders.
(4)
If necessary, fill the emergency oxygen cylinders (Ref. TASK 35-21-
00-614-001). Subtask 35-23-52-942-050
F. Remove the warning notice(s).
