(1)
Open the AFT cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2)
Put the access platform below the AFT cargo-compartment door 826.
(3)
Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the ON position.
(4)
Remove the related lining panel to get access to the oxygen storage (Ref. TASK 25-55-12-000-003).

(1)
Obey the special precautions when you do this task (Ref. TASK 35-00-00-860-001).
(2)
Make sure that there is no failure indication on the POXIP in the cockpit.
(3)
Make sure that the manual shut-off valves of the emergency oxygen cylinders are open.

A. Operational Check of Cylinder Handvalve Switches

1. On the oxygen cylinder 991WR1:
-Close the manual shut-off valve of the oxygen cylinder.
2. On the oxygen cylinder 991WR1:
-Open the manual shut-off valve of the oxygen cylinder.
3. On the oxygen cylinders 991WR2 to 991WR6:
-Do the action-steps 1 and 2 again for each oxygen cylinder.
4. On the overhead panel 20VU in the cockpit:
-Push the TEST pushbutton on the POXIP for approx. 1 sec.
On the overhead panel 20VU in thecockpit:
-
Make sure that there is the 'FAULT' indication of the cylinder on the POXIP.
On the overhead panel 20VU in thecockpit:
-
Make sure that there is no 'FAULT' indication of the cylinder on the POXIP.
On the overhead panel 20VU in thecockpit:
-All indication lights on the POXIPcome on.
-On the display of the POXIP the indication '8888' comes on.
On the overhead panel 20VU in the cockpit, after 3 seconds:
-All indication lights on the POXIP go off.
-
On the display of the POXIP some indications of a BITE-Test come on.
On the overhead panel 20VU in the cockpit, after 6 seconds:
-
On the display of the POXIP the indication of the oxygen system status comes on.

A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Install the related lining panel to close access to the oxygen storage (Ref. TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
(3)
Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the OFF position.
(4)
Remove the access platform(s).
(5)
Close the AFT cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
