procedure.
(2)
If necessary, remove the bonding straps from the line. NOTE : Make a note of the position of the bonding straps for the
____
installation procedure.
(3)
Disconnect the unions with 2 wrenches. NOTE : You must hold the fitting tightly in the correct position.
(4)
Immediately put clean PLUG - BLANKING, APPROVED FOR USE WITH OXYGEN
____ on the disconnected line ends.
(5) Put the disconnected line ends into a sealed BAG - VINYL. Subtask 35-00-00-420-051
C. Installation of a Line in the Gaseous Oxygen System
(1)
Remove the vinyl bags from the disconnected line end, that you install first.
(2)
Remove the blanking plugs from one end of the line and the union.
(3)
If necessary, carefully clean the unions with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-005) and a clean lint-free cloth.
(4)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(5)
Connect the line and tighten it with your fingers.
(6)
Remove the vinyl bags from the other disconnected line end.
(7)
Remove the blanking plugs from the other end of the line and the union.
(8)
Connect the line and tighten it with your fingers.
(9)
If necessary, install the clamps on the line.
(10)
If necessary, install the bonding straps on the line (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-006).
(11)
TORQUE the unions (Ref. TASK 20-21-14-911-001).
(12)
Make sure that the line has a clearance of:
-150 mm (6.0 in.) from all hydrocarbons or combustible materials,
-50 mm (2.0 in.) from all movable components,
-150 mm (6.0 in.) from all electrical wiring or 50 mm (2.0 in.) if the wiring is rigidly supported.
NOTE : If 50 mm (2.0 in.) is not possible the wiring must have
____ additional insulation and be supported so that a minimum clearance is 13 mm (0.6 in.).
Subtask 35-00-00-865-053
D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1WR, 2WR.
Subtask 35-00-00-790-051
E. Do the leakage check of the connections (Ref. TASK 35-23-00-790-002). Subtask 35-00-00-614-052
F. Pressurize the Emergency Oxygen System
(1)
Slowly open the manual shut-off valves of the emergency oxygen cylinders 3.5 to 4 turns.
(2)
Let the pressure become stable.
NOTE : This occurs after approximately 90 seconds.
____
(3)
Fully open the manual shut-off valves of the emergency oxygen cylinders.
(4)
If necessary, fill the emergency oxygen cylinders (Ref. TASK 35-21-00-614-001).
Subtask 35-00-00-942-051
G. Remove the warning notice(s).
5. Close-up
________ Subtask 35-00-00-410-051
A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Install the related lining panel to close access to the oxygen storage (Ref. TASK 25-55-12-400-003).
(3)
Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the OFF position.
(4)
Remove the access platform(s).
(5)

002). Subtask 35-00-00-862-051
B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
CREW OXYGEN - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
_______________________________________
1. General
_______ The crew oxygen system will supply the flight crew with oxygen, if there is a loss of cabin pressurization or the emission of smoke and noxious gas. The crew oxygen system is for commercial aircraft that fly up to a height of 12000 m (39370.80 ft.). The system has three sections:
-
Oxygen Storage (Ref. 35-11-00),
-
Oxygen Distribution (Ref. 35-12-00),
-Indicating (Ref. 35-13-00).
2. System Description
__________________
A. Oxygen Storage (Ref. 35-11-00) The flight crew oxygen is supplied from a high-pressure oxygen cylinder. The cylinder is installed between frames 11 and 13 in the avionics compartment. A pressure regulator/transmitter is directly connected to the cylinder.
B. Oxygen Distribution (Ref. 35-12-00) The oxygen is supplied to the flight crew stations through a distribution circuit. The circuit is as follows:
-a low-pressure supply valve and distribution manifold,
