Installation of the Emergency Oxygen Generators

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Examine the oxygen masks and the supply hoses for serviceable condition.
WARNING : CLEAN THE TOOLS AND MAKE SURE YOUR HANDS ARE CLEAN TO_______ PREVENT CONTAMINATION OF THE OXYGEN SYSTEM.

A. Installation of the Oxygen Generator WARNING : BEFORE INSTALLATION, MAKE SURE THAT YOU REMOVE THE SAFETY RINGS
_______ OR THE SAFETY PINS FROM THE GENERATORS. IF YOU DO NOT, THE GENERATORS WILL NOT OPERATE.
CAUTION : DO NOT PULL THE GENERATOR-END OF THE LANYARD.

(1)
Remove and discard the old test button label (8).
(2)
Fill the date (month and year) in the space of the new test button label, as necessary and apply the new test button label to the end of the test button assy.
(3)
Install the generator (7) in the container against the foam ring (10) and make sure that the pins engage in the clamp (6).
(4)
Remove the relevant safety ring or safety pin (9). NOTE : The generator/actuator pin (11) and the lanyards must point
____ away from the door hinge of the oxygen container.
NOTE : Make sure that the generator/actuator pin (11) is installed
____
between 0 degrees to 160 degrees.
(5) Tighten the clamp (6).

(6) Carefully install the oxygen supply hoses (4) on the outlet manifold (5).
NOTE : To make the installation of the supply hoses easier, put the
____ R ends of the supply hoses into clean distilled water.
(7)
Connect the clips (2) on to the lanyards (1).
(8)
Put the mask assemblies into the emergency oxygen containers (Ref. TASK 35-23-00-550-001).
(9)
Make sure that there is a minimum clearance of 2.0 +0 -0.5 mm (0.0787 +0.0000 -0.0196 in.) around the oxygen container door.
(10) Make sure that the door stop is in line with the door, and the door is safe.

B. Do the operational test of the passenger oxygen system (Ref. TASK 35-23-00-710-001).
