A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the access platform is in position at the access door

(2)
Open the access door 812.
(3)
Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(4)
Make sure that the warning notice which tells persons not to push the OXYGEN/CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch is in position.

4. Procedure

Subtask 35-11-41-420-053
A. Installation of the Crew Oxygen-Storage Cylinder (5750HM) R NOTE : Only use SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-003B) on the thread of
____ R the nut or on the flared part of the tube. Only apply a thin layer R of the compound to the first three male-threads.
(1)
Examine the expiry date on the cylinder to make sure that you can still use it.
(2)
Carefully put the cylinder (1) on the support (11) and between the clamps (9) and (10).
(3)
Put the nut (8) in the clamp (10) and tighten the pin (7).
(4)
Remove the oxygen cylinder stowage cap from the cylinder valve (4).
(5)
Remove the blanking cap from the union (6).
(6)
Put the new bush (5) on the union (6) and tighten it.
(7)
Remove the blanking cap from the transmitter (2).
(8)
Remove the oxygen cylinder cap stowage from the cylinder valve (4).
(9)
Put the regulator (2) on the valve (4) and TORQUE the nut (3) to between 7.5 and 8.0 m.daN (55.30 and 58.99 lbf.ft).

B. Leak Test
(1)
Apply the solution SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-004) to the mechanical connections.
(2)
Very slowly open the valve of the cylinder (5750 HM) 3.5 to 4 turns.
(3)
Let the pressure become stable. This occurs after approximately 90 seconds.
(4)
Fully open the cylinder valve.

(5)
Examine each connection to make sure that there are no leaks.
(6)
Rub off the solution SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-004).
5. Close-up

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 1HT

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.

Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.

Remove the warning notice(s).
(3)
De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-862-002)

Close the access door 812.
(2)
Remove the access platform(s).
