 -Non operated condition: If a leak occurs, the oxygen will escape from the annular gas container and fill the sachet. The inflated sachet will activate a lever system turning the indicator red. At the same time a needle will pierce the sachet thus avoiding the sachet becoming overfilled and bursting. Even a slow loss of oxygen over longer periods will be detected and the indicator will lock in an irreversible position, indicating the possibility that the hood might not meet the required performance of 15 minute protection time.

 C. Indicating When the equipment is in working condition, the indicator is green. When it turns red, the equipment is no longer working, in this case an inspection is necessary.
