Subtask 35-23-00-010-060
C. Get Access
(1)
Open the AFT cargo-compartment door 826 (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2)
Put the access platform below the AFT cargo-compartment door 826.
(3)
Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to the ON position.
(4)
Remove the related lining panel to get access to the oxygen storage (Ref. TASK 25-55-12-000-003).
Subtask 35-23-00-614-051
D. Depressurize the Emergency Oxygen System
(1)
Close the manual shut-off valves of the emergency oxygen cylinders.
(2)
Put the DEPRESSURIZATION TOOL (P/N 4421072) on the oxygen test port 7504WR1 to release the pressure from the system.
(3)
Remove the DEPRESSURIZATION TOOL from the oxygen test port 7504WR1 after the pressure is released.
Subtask 35-23-00-941-051
E. Safety Precautions
(1)
Put a WARNING NOTICE in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the emergency oxygen system.
(2)
Put a WARNING NOTICE in position in the cockpit and in the cargo compartment to tell persons that a pressure test continues.
4. Procedure
_________
WARNING : KEEP ALL HYDROCARBONS (FUELS, LUBRICANTS, ETC.) AWAY FROM ALL
_______
SOURCE OF OXYGEN. OXYGEN BECOMES EXPLOSIVE WHEN IT TOUCHES
HYDROCARBONS.
WARNING : CLEAN THE TOOLS AND MAKE SURE YOUR HANDS ARE CLEAN TO PREVENT
_______
CONTAMINATION OF THE OXYGEN SYSTEM.
CAUTION : PUT DRY, CLEAN, METAL OR PLASTIC PLUGS ON ALL PIPES OR UNITS
_______ REMOVED TEMPORARILY. PUT EACH PIPE OR UNIT IN A SEALED VINYL BAG.
Subtask 35-23-00-860-058
A. Obey the special precautions when you do this task (Ref. TASK 35-00-00-860-001).
Subtask 35-23-00-480-055
B. Connect the Ground Service Equipment WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT IS APPROVED FOR THE
_______ OXYGEN SYSTEM. GROUND SUPPORT EQUIPMENT THAT IS NOT APPROVED CAN CAUSE CONTAMINATION OF THE SYSTEM AND INJURY TO PERSONS.
(1)
Disconnect the distribution system lines from the oxygen regulators 910WR1 and 910WR2.
(2)
Put PLUG - BLANKING, PRESSURE on the disconnected line ends.
(3)
Put the disconnected line ends into a sealed BAG - VINYL.
(4)
Connect the GROUND PRESSURE SOURCE (Nitrogen A_A_59503, Type 1, Class 1, Grade B) with pressure measuring device and a shut-off valve, a vent device and an overpressure device to the oxygen test port 7504WR1.
Subtask 35-23-00-790-051
C. Leakage Test of the Intermediate Line
(1)
Operate the ground pressure source and slowly pressurize the distribution system lines to 12.5 +0.1 -0.1 bar (181.2971 +1.4503 -1.4503 psi).
(2)
After stabilization of the pressure, close the shut-off valve on the ground pressure source.
(3)
Record the test medium pressure and the temperature.
(4)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-004) to all connections.
(5)
Examine the connections for leaks.
NOTE : Leaks are not permitted.
____
(6)
After 30 minutes, make sure that the pressure loss is less than 0.22 bar (3.1908 psi).
(7)
Record the test medium pressure and the temperature again.
(8)
Release the pressure from the system through the ground pressure source.
(9) Clean the connections with a clean lint-free cloth. Subtask 35-23-00-080-055
D. Disconnect the ground service equipment
(1)
Disconnect the ground pressure source and the test equipment from the oxygen test port 7504WR1.
