A. Get Access
(1) Put the access platform in position at the access door 812.
(2)
Open the access door 812. Subtask 35-11-41-860-050
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
(2)
Close the valve of the oxygen cylinder/valve assembly (5750 HM). Subtask 35-11-41-614-050
C. Bleed the oxygen system:
(1)
In the cockpit, on the panel 21VU, push the OXYGEN/CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch. The OFF legend goes off.
(2)
On an oxygen-mask stowage box, operate the PRESS TO TEST AND RESET control slide a sufficient number of times to make the system empty.
(3)
On the panel 21VU, release the OXYGEN/CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch. The OFF legend comes on.
(4)
On the panel 21VU, put a warning notice to tell persons not to push the OXYGEN/CREW SUPPLY pushbutton switch.

4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Crew Oxygen-Storage Cylinder (5750HM)
(1)
Loosen the nut (3) and disconnect the oxygen pressure regulator transmitter (2) from the cylinder valve (4).
(2)
Put a blanking cap on the regulator (2).
(3)
Put the regulator (2) in a sealed vinyl bag.
(4)
Put an oxygen-cylinder stowage cap on the cylinder valve (4).
(5)
Disconnect the union (6) and discard the bush (5).
(6)
Put a blanking cap on the union (6).
(7)
Put an oxygen-cylinder stowage cap on the cylinder valve (4).
(8)
Loosen the nut (8) and disengage the pin (7) from the clamp (10).
(9)
Open the clamps (9) and (10) and remove the cylinder (1), from the support (11).
