NOTE : The adhesiv tape should overlap the edge of the damage 25____ mm (0.98 in.). The length of the tape should cover the other side of the blanket as shown in section B-B.

A. Repair with Blanket Insert (Ref. Fig. 803/TASK 25-80-00-991-005)
R (1) Refer to (Ref. SIL 25135)
R (2) Cut the damaged area (wrapper on both sides and the glass wool) out ot the insulation blanket in a rectangular shape.
R R R (3) Seal the edges of the cut-out correctly with BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-073) or adhesive tape KB42 (compliant with FAR25.856(a)).
R R (4) Accurately to the cut-out of the insulation blanket:
R R R (a) (Ref. PMS 01-05-61) Make a blanket insert of glass wool DAN 88B20, wrapper foil DAN 379B (non-compliant with FAR25.856(a)) and BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-073).
R R R (b) (Ref. AIPS 03-07-004): Make a blanket insert of glass wool ABS5630B, wrapper foil Terul 18 (compliant with FAR25.856(a)) and adhesive tape KB42 (compliant with FAR25.856(a)).
R R R (5) Install the blanket insert into the cut-out of the insulation blanket and attach it with BONDING AND ADHESIVE COMPOUNDS (Material No. 08-073) or adhesive tape KB42 (compliant with FAR25.856(a)).
