A. Get Access
(1)
Open the FWD and/or AFT cargo compartment door and install the actuator safety locks (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2)
Put the access platform in position at the opening of the FWD and/or AFT cargo compartment door(s).
(3)
Remove the equipment, the linings and the sidewall panels as necessary.

A. Repair of the Insulation Blankets
(1)
If the VELCRO adhesive tape at the insulation blanket (1) is damaged,install new VELCRO adhesive tape (DAN 98S2A)
(2)
If the VELCRO adhesive tape at the structure is damaged,install new VELCRO adhesive tape (DAN 98S2B)
(3)
If the insulation blanket has tears repair it as follow:
(a)
Use adhesive strip (DAN 382-50).
(b)
Cut a large patch (2) of adhesive strip to cover an area much larger than the damaged area.
(c)
Remove the protection foil from the adhesive strip.
(d)
Put the patch (2) in position and press it down.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Install the parts wich you removed to replace the insulation blankets.
(3)
Remove the access platform(s).
(4)
Remove the actuator safety locks and close the FWD and/or AFT cargo compartment door (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
