R  (1) Remove the decompression panel: 
R  (a) Remove the nuts (7) and the washers (6). 
R  (b) Remove the sheet-assemblies (4) and the decompression-fasteners 
R  (5). 
R  (c) Carefully remove the decompression-frame (3) and the 
R  decompression-panel (2) from the ceiling-panel (1). 
R  (2) Install the decompression-panel: 
R  CAUTION : DO NOT USE TOO MUCH FORCE WHEN YOU REMOVE THE COVER AS THIS_______ 
R  CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE RETAINER.

R  (a) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are 
R  clean and in the correct condition. 
R  (b) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area. 
R  (c) Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent 
R  area. 
R  (d) If necessary, install new flame-retardant material 
R  (referred to as the strips): 
R  1_  Remove the remaining strips (8) and the foam-tape (9) from the
R  ceiling-panel (1) and from the decompression-panel (2). 
R  2_  Clean the area where you removed the strips and the foam-tape:
R  WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER_______ 
R  SPECIAL MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. 
R  OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. 
R  PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. 
R  DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. 
R  DO NOT SMOKE. 
R  DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. 
R  THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN 
R  IRRITANT. 
R  GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME 
R  IRRITATED. 
R  a_  Clean the area where you removed the strips and the
R  foam-tape with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-003) and a 
R  cotton cloth MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003). 
R  3_  Cut the new foam-tape SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-066)
R  (9) to the necessary length. 
R  4_  Remove the protective foil from the foam-tape (9).
R  5_  Carefully install the foam-tape (9) in the applicable areas of
R  the ceiling-panel (1) and the decompression-panel (2). 
R  NOTE : The joints of the foam-tape should not be in the____ 
R  corners of the installation area, when you install the 
R  new foam-tape (9). 
R  6_  Cut the new Active Fire-Blocking Strip ABS5027C 15-06 (8) to
R  the necessary length.
