Lift the pack-assembly (9) from the supports (14), and remove it from the aircraft.

(a)
Push in the flapper valves (5) of the aspirator (6), to release the pressure from the escape-slide (7).
(b)
Roll up the deflated escape-slide (7). NOTE : Start from the bottom end of the deflated escape-slide

Carefully put the escape-slide (7) and the pack-assembly (9) in a clean box, without sharp objects.
(d)
Return them to one of the two locations for servicing:
-The workshop (Ref. CMM 256056).

A. Removal of the Inflated Escape-slide raft
(Ref. Fig. 401A/TASK 25-62-44-991-020-A)
(1)
Safety the open passenger/crew door (referred to as door) with the safety-barrier strap (8).
(2)
Remove the inflated escape-slide raft (7):
(a) Carefully pull the electrical harness (22) to disconnect the quick-release connector (23).
NOTE : The quick-release connector (23) is held below the
____ burr-strip (velcro) on the pack-assembly soft-cover (12).

Release the inflated escape-slide raft (7) from the aircraft: CAUTION : DO NOT LET THE INFLATED ESCAPE-SLIDE FALL TO THE

Pull open the burr-strips of the girt assembly (11).
(d)
Remove the loop (35) of the survival-kit lanyard (white) (36), from the release trigger (37).
(e)
Pull open the blue (38) and green (39) burr-strips.
(f)
Remove the release strap (yellow) (40) from the release trigger (37).
(g)
Pull the mooring line (32) from the girt pocket (33).
(h)
Hold the escape-slide raft (7) with the mooring line (32).
(i)
Pull the HANDLE (31).
(j)
Slowly release the mooring line (32):
-The girt lace-up joint (34) opens.
-And the girt assembly (11) releases from the girt bar (10).
(k)
Carefully lower the escape-slide raft (7) to the ground. NOTE : Two persons are neccessary to hold the escape-slide raft
GROUND. IF YOU DO, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE:
- TO THE INFLATION RESERVOIR, WHICH IS KEPT BELOW THE
ESCAPE-SLIDE,
- OR TO THE SURFACE MATERIAL.
1_ Make sure the ground area, where the escape-slide raft (7) is
lowered, is clean and clear from sharp objects.

(3) Remove the girt bar (10) from the floor fittings (26):
(a)
Pull the release trigger (37) with your fingers.
(b)
While holding the release trigger (37), move the telescopic end-fitting (41) in the direction shown in DETAIL G.
(c)
Remove the girt bar (10) from the floor fittings (26).
(d)
Remove the mooring line (32) from the girt bar (10).

CES (e) keep the girt bar (10) with the door.

Set the emergency control-handle (3) to the DISARMED position.
(5)
Release the safety-barrier strap (8).
(6)
Lift the empty pack-assembly soft-cover (12) and close the door with the door control-handle (2) (Ref. TASK 52-10-00-410-001).

Remove the decorative-cover (20) from the pack-assembly (9):
NOTE : There are three different types of decorative-cover (20)
____ attachment:
-
Type 1, burr-strip.
-
Type 2, dual-lock reclosable fastener-strip.
-
Type 3, spring loaded latches.
The three different types are not interchangeable.
It is necessary to use more force, to pull apart dual-lock
reclosable fastener-strip, than for burr-strip. You can hear a
continual click sound as the two halves are pulled apart.
