1_ Pull the lower edge of the decorative-cover (20) away from the
pack-assembly (9), to disengage the spring clips.
2_ Carefully pull the top edge of the decorative-cover (20), from
the attach-strips (16), and remove it.
_ pack-assembly (9), to disengage the spring clips.
2 Disengage the spring loaded bolts (73) and remove the
_ decorative-cover (20).
(c)
Disengage the straps (21) from the straps on the lower inside edge of the decorative-cover (20).
(d)
Keep the straps (21) with the pack-assembly (9).
(e)
Keep the decorative-cover (20) with the aircraft.

CES (8) Remove the pack-assembly (9) from the door:
(a) Remove the upper attachments of the pack-assembly (9) with one of the two procedures:
1 Procedure 1:
_
a Hold the pack-assembly (9).
_ b Pull the PULL handles (44), to disengage the quick-release
_ latches (43) from the mounting pins (42).
2 Or.
_
3 Procedure 2:
_
a Loosen the link nut (46).
_ b Remove the attach-link (48) and PULL handle (47), from the
_
stud assembly (45).
c Keep the attach-link (48) and PULL handle (47), with the
_
pack-assembly (9).
d Hold the pack-assembly (9).
_
e Remove the stud assemblies (45) with the allen key (49)
_
from the door.
NOTE : Make sure the allen key (49) goes through the wire
____
loop (50).
f Keep the stud assemblies (45) with the pack-assembly (9).
_
(b)
Let the pack-assembly (9) fall inboard on the supports (14), and continue to hold it.
(c)
Disconnect the electrical connector (15):

Lift the pack-assembly (9) from the supports (14) and remove it from the aircraft.
NOTE : Make sure that these removed components are kept together

with the pack-assembly (9):
-Straps (21).
-Attach-link (48) and PULL handle (47).
-Stud assemblies (45).
(9) Procedure out of the aircraft: CAUTION : KEEP OFF THE INFLATED ESCAPE-SLIDE. IF YOU GO ON IT, YOU
_______ CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE MATERIAL.
(a)
Push in the flapper valves (5) of the aspirator (6) to release the pressure from the escape-slide raft (7).
(b)
Roll up the deflated escape-slide raft (7). NOTE : Start from the bottom end of the deflated escape-slide

raft (7).
(c)
Carefully put the escape-slide raft (7), the pack-assembly (9) and related components in a clean box, without sharp objects.
(d)
Return them to one of the two locations for servicing:
-The workshop (Ref. CMM 256120).
-Or, to the manufacturer. **ON A/C ALL
