(2) Connect a multimeter between the pins 1 and 2 of the squib
electrical connector, DM103B.

(3) Close the circuit breaker APU START on the P83 panel.

(4) Remove the electrical connector, DM216A, from the fire detector,
M216, loop A, on the APU door.

(5) Connect a 300 to 400 ohm resistor from the center pin of the
electrical connector, DM216A, loop A, to the connector shell of the
removed fire detector element.
NOTE:____ Keep the resistor in the same location for the subsequent
steps.

Connect a jumper wire from the center pin of the connector DM216A, loop A, to the connector shell of the removed fire detector element.

Make sure 0 volts dc shows between the pins 1 and 2 on the connector DM103B.
