 F. Engine fire handle functions
 S 864-084
 (1)  Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
 S 014-086
 WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LE AND TE
_______ FLAPS AND FLAP DRIVE MECHANISMS BEFORE YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. WITH HYDRAULIC POWER REMOVED, THE FLAPS WILL MOVE AUTOMATICALLY BY ELECTRICAL POWER WHEN YOU MOVE THE FLAP CONTROL LEVER. IF THE FLAPS MOVE INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR.
 WARNING: INSTALL LOCKS TO PREVENT MOVEMENT OF THE FLAPS
_______ (AMM 27-81-00/201). IF THE LOCKS ARE NOT INSTALLED INJURY TO PERSONS CAN OCCUR.
 (2)  
Extend the wing leading edge flaps to get access to the engine bottle electrical connectors.

Install safety locks on all extended leading edge flaps where persons are near (Ref 27-81-00/201).

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:


 NOTE: After the fire bottle circuit breakers are open, one person
____ can continue with the procedure while another person is disconnecting the fire bottle connectors.

 WARNING:_______ PUT PROTECTIVE COVERS ON THE FIRE BOTTLE SQUIBS.  IF YOU DO NOT
 PUT PROTECTIVE COVERS ON THE FIRE BOTTLE SQUIBS, THE FIRE
 BOTTLES CAN RELEASE THEIR CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO
 PERSONS.

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT PUT SHUNT PLUGS ON THE FIRE BOTTLE SQUIBS. THE SHUNT PLUGS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SQUIB PINS.
 (6)  
Put the protective cover on all the fire bottle squibs.

Make sure the engine fire handles are pushed in.

 (8)  
Make sure all these switches on the fuel management control module, M154 (P5 pilots' overhead panel) are in the off position.

 (a)  
Boost pumps and override/jettison pumps (the white ON indication light in each switch does not show).

 (b)  
Fuel crossfeed valves (the flowbar indication in each switch does not show).

 (9)  Make sure the FUEL CONTROL switch for engine 1, 2, 3 and 4 are in the CUTOFF position.

 WARNING: OPEN THE APPLICABLE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE ENGINE IGNITION
_______ BEFORE YOU OPEN THE CIRCUIT BREAKER FOR THE ENGINE FUEL CONTROL VALVE. AN AUTOMATIC FIRING OF THE IGNITER PLUGS WILL OCCUR WHEN:
