Do the steps that follow to connect an electrical connector to a fire bottle squib.
(a) Remove the protective cover.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THERE IS NO VOLTAGE AT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR.
_______ IF THERE IS A VOLTAGE AT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR, THE SQUIB CAN RELEASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(b) Make sure there is no voltage between pins 1 and 2 of the electrical connector.
NOTE: If you use a voltmeter with a 10k ohm or greater
____ resistor, you will remove the stray voltage from the electrical connector.
(c) Make sure the squib electrical pins are not bent or damaged.

(d) Make sure the electrical connector is not damaged.
NOTE: If the squib electrical pins do not enter the
____ receptacles in the electrical connector, the pins can cause damage to the electrical connector.
(e)
Connect the electrical connector to the fire bottle squib.
(f)
Do the steps that follow to make sure you did not bend or damage the squib pins.
NOTE: This step is necessary because the pins are most likely
____ to be damaged the first time an electrical connector is connected to the squib.
1) Disconnect the electrical connector from the fire bottle squib. 2) Make sure the squib electrical pins are not bent or
damaged. 3) Make sure the electrical connector is not damaged. 4) Connect the electrical connector to the fire bottle squib.

WARNING: MAKE SURE THERE IS A PROTECTIVE COVER ON THE SQUIB WHEN IT IS
_______ NOT CONNECTED TO THE DISCHARGE HOSE. THE SQUIB IS AN ELECTRICALLY FIRED EXPLOSIVE AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS IF IT IS ACCIDENTALLY FIRED.
(1)
Install the packing on the squib.
(2)
Install the ground lug assembly and squib in the discharge port.
(3)
Tighten the squib to 90 - 100 pound-inches.
(4)
Install the lockwire from the squib to the discharge port.

(5) Do the Squib Electrical Connection procedure to connect the electrical connectors to the applicable squibs as shown in the table that follows. Connect the squibs one at a time and do the Squib Assembly Test. (6) Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker on the P6 panel:
