 WARNING: MAKE SURE THERE IS NO VOLTAGE AT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR.
_______ IF THERE IS A VOLTAGE AT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR, THE SQUIB CAN RELEASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
 (c)  Make sure there is no voltage between pins 1 and 2 of the electrical connector.
 NOTE: Connect a 10 Kohm resistor across the meter to
____ remove any stray voltage from the electrical connector.
 (d)  
Make sure the squib pins are not bent or damaged.

 (e)  
Make sure the electrical connector is not damaged.

 NOTE: The squib pins can cause damage to the electrical
____ connector if the pins do not enter the connector receptacles.
 (f)  
Connect the electrical connector to the fire bottle squib.

 (g)  
Do the steps that follow to make sure you did not bend or damage the squib pins.

 NOTE: This step is necessary because the pins are most likely
____ to be damaged the first time an electrical connector is connected to the squib.
 1) Disconnect the electrical connector from the fire bottle squib. 2) Make sure the squib pins are not bent or damaged.
 (h)  Make sure the electrical connector is not damaged.
 NOTE: The squib pins can cause damage to the electrical
____ connector if the pins do not enter the connector receptacles.
 1) Connect the electrical connector to the fire bottle squib.

 APU FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE - INSPECTION/CHECK

 1.  General_______
 A.  This procedure is a visual inspection/check of the APU fire extinguisher bottle M103 found at the left corner on the forward side of the firewall. You can get to the fire bottle through access door 315AL below the forward side of the firewall.
 B.  This inspection/check does a visual inspection of the fire extinguisher bottle, mounting lugs, wire and tubes.

Before you touch the squib, do the procedure for devices that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (AMM 20-41-02/201).
