 WARNING:_______PUT THE PROTECTIVE COVERS ON THE FIRE BOTTLE SQUIBS. IF YOU DO NOT PUT THE PROTECTIVE COVERS ON THE FIRE BOTTLE SQUIBS, THE FIRE BOTTLES CAN RELEASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
 CAUTION:_______DO NOT PUT SHUNT PLUGS ON THE FIRE BOTTLE SQUIBS. THE SHUNT PLUGS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SQUIB PINS.
 (4)  
Put the protective covers on all the fire bottle squibs.

Supply the electrical power if not already accomplished
 (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Close this circuit breaker:

 (a)  P6 Main Power Ditribution Panel
 1) 6L4 FLT DECK LIGHT CAPT IND

 F. Cargo Fire Extinguisher Bottle Squib Discharge Circuit Test

Close this circuit breaker:

 (a)  P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
 1) 6H6 FIRE EXTINGUISHER LOWER CARGO

 (2)
Make sure the airplane is in the Ground Mode (AMM 32-09-02/201).

 NOTE: Place the airplane on the Ground mode to bypass the 30 minute
____ time delay for the check of bottles C and D. This step is not necessary for the check of bottles A and B.

 (3)  S 865-019Make sure the FWD ARMED, AFT ARMED and DISCH lights on the fire control module M7326 on the P5 pilots' overhead panel are off.
 (4)  S 865-020Set the toggle switch on the squib test box to OFF position.
 (5)  S 485-021Connect the electrical connector DM7906B, for the bottle A forward squib, to the squib test box.
 (6)  S 485-022Connect the multimeter to the squib test box.
 (7)  S 865-023Push the FWD (AFT) ARMED switch to ON.
 (8)  S 735-024Make sure the FWD (AFT) ARMED switch is on.
 (9)  S 865-025Push and hold the DISCH switch.

 Make sure the BOTTLE DISCHARGE light on the squib test box is on. S 975-027

 (11)
 Write the voltage shown on the multimeter (V1). S 865-028

 Set the toggle switch on the squib test box to ON position. S 975-029

 Write the voltage shown on the multimeter (V2).

 (14) Release the DISCH switch and make sure that the multimeter indication goes to zero.
 (a)  On Bottles A (B), 1) Make sure that the multimeter indication goes to zero.

 Open the circuit breaker 6H6 FIRE EXTINGUISHER LOWER CARGO on the P6 Main Power Distribution Panel.

 Push the FWD (AFT) ARMED switch to off.

 (a)  On Bottles C (D), 1) Make sure that the multimeter indication goes to zero.

 Make sure the FWD ARMED, AFT ARMED and DISCH switch light are off.

 Make sure the voltage is zero.

 Disconnect the electrical connector from the squib test box.
